Part 6: Andy's Fight with Cancer: The End.

On Friday, September 11 1998, Dr. Varki called me from the hospital and said that Dr. Varki wanted to talk to me. The results were very bad.

His cancer had spread to the pericardia and there appeared that there was something inside his heart. The doctor says it may be cancer or a blood clot. We could try another form of chemotherapy if he wanted to, but she really recommended a hospice. Four days later at 3:00am Andy had gone "HOME" with the Father.

What made Andy so special was his character. He had great faith, and never complained. He always believed in healing and being sensitive to other people who were in similar situations. Only once I saw him cry. That was when they told him they had to amputate his arm, and even then only a few tears ran down his cheeks, no complaints, just sadness and inner pain that I could see in his eyes. Andy was always joking, making plans for tomorrow, and enjoying every minute of whatever time he had. That is what made Andy so special.
